Barrett Burgoyne, PE | Associate

A University of Maryland graduate, Barrett is a Licensed PE and project manager.  Before coming to Morabito Consultants, Barrett worked as a construction inspector giving him valuable experience in construction practices.  Working with MC since 2012, he has become proficient in the design and detailing of structural steel, wood framing, cold-formed framing, and concrete restoration.

Barrett has taken the structural lead in projects ranging from eleven story structures to residential renovations across the Mid-Atlantic region.  His new construction designs include various public and private schools of all grade levels.  He has also welcomed opportunities to work with existing structures throughout the region, notably 100-year-old buildings on the campus of Johns Hopkins University, and The Carnegie Institution for Science in Washington, DC.  Barrett enjoys working with Architects, contractors, and owners to find solutions to both simple and complex problems.

Always eager get out of the office, Barrett appreciates making field visits to survey existing structures or observe construction progress.  Without hesitation he will canoe under structures in harbors, crawl through muck in tight spaces, and climb towering scaffolds and trusses, all for the sake of good engineering practice.  Outside of work, Barrett enjoys hiking and spending time with his two sons and wife.
