David Kraus
Project Engineer
David joined Morabito Consultants full time as a Project Engineer after graduating from Florida State University in 2026 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. A lifelong resident of Fallston, Maryland, David first gained experience with the firm through internships in 2021 and 2025, building a strong foundation in both new structural design and restoration work.
In his role, David contributes to drafting structural plans in Revit, performing structural calculations, reviewing shop drawings, and supporting fieldwork under the guidance of senior engineers. His growing experience includes the evaluation, remediation, and waterproofing of reinforced and post-tensioned concrete structures, along with design tasks ranging from roof framing systems to barrier cable deflection and reactions.
David is actively working toward Professional Engineer licensure and is preparing to take the Fundamentals of Engineering exam as the next step in that process. Known for his teamwork and discipline, developed in part through his time with Florida State’s Men’s Club Rugby team, he continues to expand his technical skills and project experience. Outside the office, David enjoys fishing, baseball, football, rugby, golf long drive, and bowling, where he is working toward a perfect game.
