We provide structural and building remediation engineering services for virtually any type of building structure. Single and multifamily housing, mixed-use developments, parking garages, schools, healthcare facilities, office buildings, industrial facilities, commercial buildings, distribution centers, and renovations of existing structures.
Where are you located?
Our headquarters is in Sparks, Maryland, with an additional office in Deerfield Beach, Florida.

When should I hire a structural engineer?
You should engage a structural engineer when planning a new building, renovating an existing structure, removing load-bearing elements, evaluating structural concerns, or investigating cracks, settlement, or deterioration.
Can you evaluate an existing building before renovation?
Yes. We routinely assess existing structures to determine their condition, load-carrying capacity, and suitability for renovation, expansion, or adaptive reuse.
Do you work directly with architects and contractors?
Absolutely. We regularly collaborate with architects, developers, contractors, owners, and property managers throughout design and construction.
Can you help value-engineer a project?

Building Evaluation & Inspection FAQs
I noticed cracks in my building. Should I be concerned?
Not all cracks indicate structural problems, but some may warrant further investigation. A structural evaluation can help determine the cause and whether repairs are necessary.
Do you perform structural inspections?
Yes. We provide inspections for commercial, residential, institutional, and industrial structures, including condition assessments and repair recommendations.
Do you perform Special Inspections?
Yes, we have three (3) FL licensed Special Inspectors (SI) and provide special inspection services in both Florida and Maryland area
Do you perform Reserve Studies?
Yes, we have experience performing reserve studies for condominiums and commercial buildings. We perform Structural Integrity Reserve Studies (SIRS) in the state of Florida
Can you determine whether a building is safe after damage?
We can evaluate structures affected by deterioration, impact damage, weather events, water intrusion, or other concerns and provide recommendations for repair or continued use.
Do you provide expert witness services?
Yes. Our forensic engineering professionals can assist with investigations, litigation support, and expert testimony when required.

How early should I involve a structural engineer?
The earlier, the better. Early involvement often leads to more efficient designs, fewer surprises during construction, and better budget control.
What states are you licensed in?
Our team is licensed in AL, CO, DC, DE, FL, GA, IN, LA, MA, MD, MI, NC, NH, NJ, NY, OH, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, & WV. Please contact us regarding specific project locations. We are always willing to add licensure in new states to meet project demands.

What construction materials do you design with?
We routinely design structures using structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, wood framing, cold-formed steel, and hybrid systems.
Do you provide BIM/Revit services?
Yes. We utilize BIM technology along with cutting-edge structural analysis and design software to prepare construction documents.
Can you assist during construction?
Yes. We provide submittal reviews, responses to RFIs, site observations, and construction-phase support throughout the project. Construction Administration services can be negotiated during our contract preparation phase.
Do you work on projects outside Maryland and Florida?
Yes. We support projects in multiple states and can discuss licensing requirements for your specific location.
