Harkins Builders is wrapping up construction on a new Brightview assisted living and memory care facility in Columbia, MD.  Morabito Consultants teamed with Hord Coplan Macht and Kibart Engineers on this new 191,000 square foot building.  The floor system consists of a combination of Hambro composite joists and wood trusses, supported by light gauge and wood walls, respectively.  Morabito also assisted in the renovation of an existing house on the property known as Athol Manor, which was built in 1740.  Structural modifications to the house were required to allow it to be used by the Community Foundation of Howard County.
