Morabito Consultants is proud to work alongside Concrete Protection and Restoration, Inc. serve as the structural engineer of record, waterproofing and remediation consultant, and threshold inspector for this concrete remediation and recreation deck improvement project at Atlantic Ocean Club in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

The roof and pool structure had suffered decades of deterioration and required extensive restoration and strengthening to accommodate new concrete and deck features. This work included the installation of a new concrete bonded overlay to strengthen the entire roof slab, ensuring it meets the Florida Existing Building Code and supports the new pedestal paver systems and pool deck live load of 100 psf.

In addition to the recreation deck, to fully satisfy the building’s 50-year recertification, the garage remediation has been completed, and the building’s façade will be under construction in the upcoming weeks.
