Barrett joined Morabito Consultants in 2012 and has grown into his role as Senior Associate, bringing strong technical judgment, steady leadership, and a practical understanding of construction to each project. A graduate of the University of Maryland, Barrett is a licensed Professional Engineer and Special Inspector with experience across structural steel, wood framing, cold-formed metal framing, and concrete restoration.
As a structural lead, Barrett has guided projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Florida, with work spanning schools, commercial properties, residential buildings, and both low- and high-rise construction. His experience includes evaluating and rehabilitating existing structures, from century-old stone and heavy timber buildings to modern high-rise post-tensioned concrete structures. He is known for clear communication, sound engineering judgment, and a collaborative approach to solving complex structural challenges.
Barrett’s hands-on perspective strengthens his ability to assess existing conditions, coordinate effectively with project teams, and develop solutions that are both technically sound and constructible. His work has taken him under harbor structures by canoe, into tight crawl spaces, and onto scaffolds and trusses to better understand project conditions firsthand. Outside the office, Barrett enjoys hiking and spending time with his wife and two sons.
