Frank Morabito

Reflecting on his more than three decades in the industry, Frank Morabito notes that the people are what make the job so rewarding.

Frank P. Morabito, PE SI | President Emeritus

Frank founded MC in 1983, and the following year his two brothers joined him as partners. Together, they led the firm for more than four decades, building MC into a nationally respected structural and forensic engineering practice known for technical depth, practical solutions, and lasting client relationships. In April 2026, Frank transitioned to President Emeritus, where he continues to mentor the firm’s leadership team, share institutional knowledge on key ongoing projects, and serve as lead consultant on select forensic matters.

Frank holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from the University of Maryland and is a registered Professional Engineer in 24 states and the District of Columbia, as well as a certified Special Inspector in Florida. His experience spans cast-in-place and precast concrete, structural steel, wood, masonry, light-gauge steel, aluminum, and carbon fiber reinforcement. With more than 30 years in building envelope and concrete remediation consulting, he has directed the repair of high-rise facades, recreation decks, swimming pools, roof structures, parking garages, and other complex structures throughout the East Coast.

Frank’s command of both historical and current building codes makes him a cornerstone of MC’s forensic engineering practice. Whether helping a prospective buyer understand a structural concern, supporting an architect with a creative solution, or investigating deterioration to determine the most cost-effective remediation path, he brings decades of judgment, curiosity, and relationship-focused service to every assignment. His work on the remediation of Dolphin Towers Condominium in Florida reflects that approach, where MC’s creative structural analysis helped save homeowners millions of dollars and return them safely to their homes.

As President Emeritus, Frank remains committed to supporting MC’s next generation of leaders while preserving the values that have shaped the firm since its founding. Beyond engineering, he holds dual U.S. and Italian citizenship and is an active member of Associated Italian Charities. Outside of work, Frank enjoys golf, poker, billiards, dinner with friends, reading the Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, or a golf book, and relaxing with a glass of wine.
