Joshua Morabito, PE | Principal
Josh was exposed to building design and structural engineering at a young age when his father, Fred Morabito, would bring home drawings. Josh started drafting for MC when he was in high school and continued this practice over his summer breaks while in college. After graduating from the University of Delaware in 2009, Josh joined MC full time as an engineer and has been instrumental in providing structural design for many of the firm’s projects. His favorite, the three phases of expansion and renovation at the Ocean City (MD) Convention Center, has allowed him to showcase his extensive knowledge and expertise in working with structural steel, concrete, masonry and light-gauge framing. Thanks to over a decade of experience, Josh is inherently good at understanding the big picture facets of a project and creating the appropriate strategies to tackle them. Josh is a licensed Professional Engineer in eight states.
In his years as a Project Manager, Josh has overseen and lead the structural design of many schools, office buildings, assisted living facilities, and commercial warehouses. He appreciates working with architects, developers, and contractors to develop economical solutions to unique design challenges and problematic field conditions. In addition to his engineering duties, Josh is responsible for keeping the MC webpage and social media sites updated, and he assists Nick Morabito with computer and IT updates in the office.
Josh takes great pride in his engineering prowess, but his real passion is maintaining and building relationships with clients in his expanded role as Principal at MC. Away from the office, Josh enjoys playing golf, spending time at the beach and, along with his wife Katie, keeping up with their three children.
