Oak Crest Village
Morabito Consultants provided structural engineering design services for a 57,000-square-foot renovation of the Town Center community at Oak Crest Village, an Erickson Senior Living community in Parkville, Maryland. The project renovated three existing two-story buildings to improve community amenities, resident experience, and long-term campus functionality.
The scope included structural design for expanded and reconfigured program elements, including a fitness center, 25-meter heated indoor pool, dining venues, salon, recreational spaces, classrooms, and resident-focused amenities. The renovation was recognized with second place in the 2018 Senior Housing News Renovation/Repositioning category.
Morabito Consultants also previously provided structural engineering services for major Oak Crest Village campus buildings, including a four-story, 60,000-square-foot assisted living facility and a four-story, 176,000-square-foot care center. These buildings utilized Hambro composite steel floor joists with masonry bearing walls, delivering efficient and durable structural systems suited to senior living and healthcare environments.
