Morabito Consultants provided structural engineering design services for the US Lacrosse Headquarters and Training Center in Sparks, Maryland. The three-story, approximately 45,000-square-foot facility supports administrative, cultural, athletic, and visitor-focused functions for the national governing body of lacrosse.
The building includes the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame and Museum, executive offices, administrative work areas, meeting spaces, locker room facilities, training areas, and support spaces. At the lower level, locker rooms connect directly to the lacrosse field through an underground tunnel, supporting team operations and field access.
Structural systems incorporate efficient steel framing, composite floor systems, and a sloped roof structure designed to meet modern building code requirements for wind, snow, and seismic loads. Steel moment frames provide lateral stability, while the building envelope combines brick veneer and expansive glazing to balance durability, performance, and visual transparency. Site amenities include spectator seating, a promenade, and an elevated press box that support both athletic events and visitor engagement.
