This 30-year-old precast parking structure was shut-down to traffic in 2018 as a result of severe structural deterioration with numerous girders on the brink of failure. MC provided demolition and repair options to the Owner who favored repairing the structure due to challenges and concerns with property line demolition. The repairs also presented numerous challenges including the repair of several prestressed girders in which half of the existing steel tendons were found to be fractured.
