Waverly Construction recently completed a new assisted living and memory care facility at Ginger Cove in Annapolis, MD. Morabito Consultants teamed with CRGA Design and Kibart Consulting Engineers on this new 66,000sf three story over basement structure. The facility features, Ecospan composite joist framed floors, a spacious outdoor patio, two-story enclosed pedestrian connection to the adjacent existing building, and a third floor atrium sheltered by a large rooftop skylight.

-Experience with common structural software packages (RAM, RISA, Staad, Multiframe, Tedds, Enercalc, etc.)
-Good communication skills, both oral and written
-FE is required

Buch Construction recently completed a two-phase renovation/addition project at Greenspring Town Center in Springfield, Virginia. Morabito Consultants teamed with Hord Coplan Macht and Kibart Consulting Engineers on this expansion of a well-known Erickson Senior Living Community. The second phase of the project included 25,650sf of interior renovations and a 16,000sf addition replacing the original pool building. This new addition features a rooftop terrace in addition to a new aquatic and fitness center.

MC is currently overseeing the ongoing concrete repairs to the six garages at the main campus of T. Rowe Price (TRP) in Owings Mills, MD. MC has been working with TRP and Jones Lang Lasalle (JLL) since 2012 to complete yearly garage surveys and prepare bid forms and associated repair details for these garages. Each garage is framed with precast double tees and they combine to make up over 1 million square feet of parking space. Over the years we have overseen the installation of traffic-bearing waterproofing membranes to the top deck of each garage alongside standard repairs such as full depth double-tee flange repair, connection repair/replacement, various crack injections, concrete spall repairs, joint replacements, drain replacements, stair repairs, railing post repair, and expansion joint replacements (plus many others!). These repairs combine to significantly improve the safety, functionality, and extend the useful life of these parking facilities. MC greatly values our longstanding relationship with TRP and JLL.

Construction continues to progress at High School 13 in Howard County, MD. Oak Contracting, LLC has nearly finished structural steel erection on the 3-story section of this 280,000 square foot educational facility. We are excited to see the significant progress on this project! Stay tuned for updates throughout the construction process which is scheduled to wrap up in August of 2023.

Morabito Consultants completed a single story post-tensioned parking deck on the Greenspring campus of the Erickson Senior Living community located in Springfield, Virginia. This new parking structure replaced a surface parking lot and nearly doubled the parking capacity of the old parking lot. It was a pleasure to team with Hord Coplan Macht and Buch Construction on this project. Buch Construction installed a camera on site which captured a time-lapse of the construction process.
