Howard County Public Safety Training Center

Morabito Consultants provided structural engineering services for the Howard County Public Safety Training Center, a 40-acre campus designed to meet the training needs of both fire and police departments.
The facility includes a wide range of specialized training environments, such as a Class A burn building, extrication pads, a fuel spill simulator, and a holding pond, along with classroom and administrative facilities to support instruction and operations.
Additional features unique to the campus include a K-9 training area, a firing range, and a police simulation building, creating a comprehensive and versatile environment for public safety training exercises.
Morabito Consultants developed structural systems to support both traditional classroom and administrative uses and specialized training conditions involving heavy equipment, live-fire simulations, impact loads, and repeated emergency response exercises.
The completed public safety training complex provides a durable, flexible, and purpose-built environment that supports emergency response readiness and long-term training needs for Howard County public safety personnel.
