To enhance the visitor experience, Morabito Consultants provided services that added a new, 7,000-square foot enclosed lobby atrium. In the renovation of the existing space, Morabito Consultants used wide flange trusses in a box configuration without lateral bracing to span the 100-foot length of “Dino Hall” to allow for a column-free space. Visitors see into new exhibit halls through 40-foot tall windows. The design won a 2004 AIA of Baltimore “Design Award.”
