To obtain more parking for its busy campus without sacrificing green space, this cast-in-place, post-tensioned parking structure sits below a terraced lawn. Three walls are below grade, while the fourth drops to the lowest parking level for ventilation and natural light. In lieu of conventional retaining walls, a post-tension tie back system was utilized. This innovative solution garnered an ACI Concrete Award.
