This home puts a modern spin on vernacular architectural forms. The design brief of the main home requires a large great room and a first floor master suite as well as a pool. The design is accomplished by bookending the main structure with two large octagon spaces (encompassing a covered terrace and sunroom) that flank the pool. The home also features a three-car garage. Morabito Consultants provided the structural engineering services for the project, which is constructed of conventional wood framing with wood posts, beams, roof rafters and trusses and TJI wood floor joists.
