Morabito Consultants provided services for a structural concrete expansion to the existing Shock Trauma Center, including a helipad designed to support Black Hawks, and renovations to an existing building. The project required creative solutions: use of a temporary steel shoring system to support the roof during construction of the “batwing” post-tension beams used to extend the foot print over a city street. The new building expands the emergency services provided at this renowned center.
