5th District Vol. Fire Dept. & Ten Oaks Ballroom
Morabito Consultants provided structural engineering services for the Fifth District Volunteer Fire Department and Ten Oaks Ballroom, a dual-purpose municipal facility serving both emergency response and community event functions in Clarksville, Maryland.
The project includes a modern six-bay fire station designed to support active emergency response operations. Key facility components include apparatus bays, a maintenance shop, decontamination area, kitchen, living quarters, and support spaces for on-duty personnel.
Integrated within the same development, Ten Oaks Ballroom provides flexible assembly space for conferences, community events, and special gatherings. The design required careful coordination of structural systems to accommodate emergency services, large assembly occupancy, and community-use requirements within one cohesive facility.
The completed project demonstrates Morabito Consultants’ experience with fire station structural design, multi-use public facilities, and buildings that combine critical emergency response operations with civic and community engagement functions.
