Morabito Consultants is providing structural engineering services for the renovation of the pool and elevated pool deck at Las Olas River House, a luxury high-rise residential condominium located along the New River in downtown Fort Lauderdale. The project focuses on the modernization and enhancement of the amenity deck while addressing existing structural and waterproofing concerns associated with the aging plaza structure.
Engineering services include evaluation of the existing elevated deck and supporting structural framing, preparation of structural repair documents, and design of alterations and additions associated with the renovation program. The project incorporates replacement of waterproofing systems, structural repairs to the plaza deck, and coordination of attachment and support requirements for new architectural features and amenity improvements. Morabito Consultants provided structural design, construction documents, technical specifications, and construction administration services to support the implementation of the work.
In addition to the design phase, Morabito Consultants is providing threshold and special inspection services during construction, including review of concrete, masonry, and stucco repairs, framing connections, railing installations, and other structural restoration work. The completed improvements will enhance the functionality and appearance of the amenity spaces while improving waterproofing performance and extending the service life of the elevated plaza structure.
