Wellspan Heart and Vascular Center

Morabito Consultants provided the structural design for a new heart and vascular center at WellSpan’s Apple Hill Medical Center. The two-story steel structure includes composite framed elevated floor slabs and a bar joist roof including long-span joists spanning two bays over a second story gym. A significant portion of the second-floor structure supports a large terrace featuring green roof elements, planters, and a decorative steel pergola. The building also features two atriums which are incorporated into the main lobby and waiting areas.
