Harford County Emergency Operations Center

Morabito Consultants provided structural design services for this steel framed communications building which is home to Harford County’s 911 dispatch center and emergency operations room. The building also houses office space, bunk rooms, kitchen/dining areas, transmitter, and server rooms to serve other daily operations in the county. The steel structure contains large plate girders in a portion of the framed second floor, and deep long-span joists in a portion of the roof framing such that the dispatch center and emergency operation spaces do not have views of critical displays restricted by interior columns.
