Chances Hope
Morabito Consultants provided structural engineering services for Chances Hope, an approximately 6,000-square-foot custom residence in Talbot County, Maryland. Designed in the tradition of Eastern Shore architecture, the home combines classic residential forms with efficient structural systems tailored to a high-end custom home.
The residence features a complex arrangement of multiple rooflines and a two-story, three-car garage positioned perpendicular to the main house. A connecting breezeway creates a welcoming courtyard that organizes the arrival experience and reinforces the home’s Eastern Shore character.
Inside, a large great room opens directly to a rear pool area, creating a strong connection between interior living spaces and outdoor amenities. The structural design supports open gathering areas, varied roof geometry, and the home’s layered architectural composition.
The structural system consists of conventional wood framing, including wood posts, beams, roof rafters, and TJI wood floor joists. This system provides flexibility for open interior spaces and complex rooflines while maintaining efficient construction. The shingle-clad exterior reinforces the home’s cohesive architectural expression.
Chances Hope demonstrates Morabito Consultants’ experience with custom residential structural engineering, Eastern Shore home design, wood-framed construction, and architecturally detailed single-family residences.
