Cove Creek
Morabito Consultants provided structural engineering services for Cove Creek, an approximately 7,000-square-foot custom residence in Queen Anne’s County, Maryland. The home reinterprets traditional Eastern Shore and vernacular architectural forms through a modern residential design approach.
The design is anchored by a large central volume containing a spacious great room and first-floor primary suite, with living spaces opening directly to an outdoor pool area. Two prominent octagonal structures bookend the main residence, one housing a covered terrace and the other a sunroom, creating a balanced architectural composition that enhances indoor-outdoor living.
Additional features include a three-car garage, complex roof geometry, and a dynamic roofline that blends traditional inspiration with contemporary residential design. Morabito Consultants developed structural solutions to support the home’s expressive forms, open interiors, and varied architectural elements.
The structural system consists of conventional wood framing, including wood posts and beams, roof rafters and trusses, and TJI wood floor joists. This approach provided flexibility for complex geometry, efficient construction, and long-term performance in a high-end custom home setting.
Cove Creek highlights Morabito Consultants’ experience with custom residential structural engineering, waterfront home design, wood-framed construction, and architecturally expressive single-family residences.
